SXSW notes about UX / Design and their connections with Machine Learning and Blockchain

After 5 years listening/reading about the South by Southwest (SXSW or just South by) and thinking about innovation, talks, learning, and connections in this event… I went to my first SXSW (yey!). That was my first International Conference (and my first big event in English too). So, my expectations were huge and the experience was… even better, above and beyond my expectations.

Above my higher expectations

Austin and SXSW are as a symbiosis, where both grew together. The city feels the festival and the festival is about Austin. It reminds me of my experience living in Rio de Janeiro during the 2016 Olympic Games.

Each venue mutated along the festival. The same house could be Linkedin Experience and in the next day: HBO Space. In every corner, I could enter in brand activation and live a different experience (VR, AI, Music, Talks, etc…).

In a line for a workshop, you can speak with a Pakistani about blockchain in his country, learn about a different culture. Or remember about the Brazilian players from the 90s/00s Milan team (yeah, I’m from Brazil… almost always is about soccer).

Another incredible thing is the change of the audience throughout the festival. At the end of the…
